Moutet
Nestled in Orthez, Béarn, Tissages MOUTET have acted as leaders in the Basque weaving industry ever since 1919.
Creators and designers working for MOUTET soon applied the Jacquard [Fair Isle knitting] technique to the early manufacture of local homespun linen cloth traditionally used to adorn and protect draft oxen.
MOUTET came up with the first ever collection of modern and colorful quality pieces in a new line of such linen cloth.
MOUTET has now gained recognition worldwide in the field of household and service linen. Its "Innovation through style" approach signals the company's true landmark.
The whole MOUTET production is made solely in France, approved and certified "Living Heritage Company" which offers the guarantee of French weaving mastery and which speaks in honor of 5 generations of industrious Orthez weavers.
